Important
These terms are written for UK consumers and reflect UK consumer protection law. Where any mandatory right applies, it takes priority over these terms. Nothing in these terms limits your statutory rights.
1. About these terms
These Terms of Service (the Agreement) set out the basis on which Clean Slate Clinic provides its UK programme and related services to you (the Client). By confirming that you agree to these terms online or in writing, you enter into a binding contract with us.
We also process your personal data as explained in our UK Privacy Notice Please read it carefully.
2. Programme overview (12‑month pathway)
The programme has three integrated phases delivered by appropriately qualified health professionals using telehealth and digital modalities.
- Phase 1 – Assessment & Preparation (approx. 2 weeks). Two clinician assessments, one prescriber appointment, care package, bloods if required and withdrawal preparation.
- Phase 2 – Withdrawal. Medically supervised home‑based withdrawal with daily clinical reviews and a prescriber consultation (including discussion and, if appropriate, prescribing of craving‑reduction medication).
- Phase 3 – Recovery & Maintenance (to month 12). Three weekly clinician reviews, three monthly reviews, then three quarterly reviews (9 appointments total) plus access to SMART Recovery meetings and online resources.
On completion of Phase 3 (12 months from programme commencement) you are discharged from the programme. You may purchase additional services thereafter.
Clinical disclaimer: We cannot guarantee specific health outcomes. Care is delivered with reasonable skill and care by appropriately qualified personnel.
3. Prices and payment
3.1 Prices (consumer transparency)
All prices are shown in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. If VAT is charged, the VAT amount will be shown at checkout and on any invoice/receipt.
Standard programme price: £5,100 (VAT‑inclusive where applicable). An Introductory offer of £4,200 is currently available for our UK customers.
You may choose to pay:
- Upfront (discounted): £3,600 if paid in full at sign‑up (a £600 discount from the introductory price); or
- Payment Plan: Twelve instalments of £350. To activate your place we usually take the first two instalments together (£700) on the date you sign-up, followed by 10 monthly payments of £350. We do not charge interest or fees for this option.
3.2 What the price covers
The programme fee covers all three phases described in Section 2 (assessment & preparation; supervised withdrawal; recovery & maintenance), including clinician and prescriber appointments, care‑package materials, and access to specified group resources.
Any add‑on services you choose (see Section 7) are charged separately.
Any prescription costs for medications dispensed by your local pharmacy are also charged separately and outside the control of Clean Slate Clinic Ltd.
3.3 Payment method & authorisation
You authorise us (or our payment processor) to take payments by your chosen method. You must keep your payment details valid and updated. If a card expires/is replaced, please update details before the next due date.
4. Cancellations, cooling‑off and changes
4.1 Cooling‑off rights
If you purchase the programme at a distance (e.g., online/phone), UK law generally provides a 14‑day cooling‑off period for service contracts. However, contracts for healthcare provided by a health professional can be exempt from this cooling‑off right. Where the exemption applies, the statutory cooling‑off right does not apply to our healthcare services.
To be transparent and fair, we offer the following goodwill policy regardless of the exemption:
- Cancel >48 hours before the First Nurse Assessment: full refund of programme payments received.
- Opt‑out within 2 business days after the First Nurse Assessment (notify us in writing): we will charge for services already provided (including the First Nurse Assessment and any care package shipped) and refund the balance of any upfront payment.
If you ask us to start services during the 14‑day period, you acknowledge that we will begin providing clinical services immediately. If the statutory cooling‑off right applies to any non‑healthcare components, you agree we may charge a proportionate amount for services already provided up to the point of cancellation.
4.2 Missed or late‑cancelled appointments
Appointments cancelled with less than 48 hours’ notice (or missed) are treated as used and are non‑refundable. You may purchase additional sessions if required.
4.3 Moving between phases / early termination
Phases 2 and 3 are clinically integrated. If you proceed to your first appointment in Phase 2, you are committing to the integrated programme. If you decide to stop early after Phase 2 has commenced, we will charge for (i) all services delivered to date plus (ii) a reasonable and proportionate amount for clinical capacity reserved for you that we cannot reallocate, but not more than the remaining programme fee. We will always act fairly and in line with UK consumer law.
5. Non‑payment
If a payment is more than 7 days overdue, we may: (a) apply a one‑off administration fee of £15 per missed instalment (capped at £90 in total), and (b) charge interest at 3 percentage points per annum above the Bank of England base rate (simple interest) until paid. We may temporarily suspend services until arrears are cleared. If we use a debt recovery service, we’ll only seek to recover our reasonable third‑party costs actually incurred.
6. Eligibility and conduct
You warrant that you are 18+ and are entering the Agreement for your personal use. If you are under guardianship, your legal representative must sign and provide evidence of authority. You agree to provide accurate information, attend scheduled reviews, and use prescribed medicines as directed.

8. Liability
We do not exclude or limit liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
To the extent permitted by law, our liability for loss or damage arising from the services is limited to the total amount you have paid for the programme/services giving rise to the claim. We are not responsible for delays or failures outside our reasonable control (e.g., internet outages, platform failures, courier delays). Your statutory rights are unaffected.
9. Data protection and confidentiality
We process health data and other personal data under the UK GDPR and Data Protection Act 2018. Our lawful bases (Article 6) and conditions for processing special category data (Article 9) are set out in our UK Privacy Notice. We keep clinical information confidential and share it only where necessary for care, safety, legal obligations, payment processing, or with your consent. If we transfer data outside the UK, we use appropriate safeguards.

11. Notices
We will send formal notices to the email you provided. Email is deemed received 24 hours after transmission unless a bounce‑back is received. Please keep your contact details up to date.
12. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms to reflect legal, clinical or operational changes. We will notify you of any material changes. If a change materially disadvantages you, and you have not yet begun Phase 2, you may cancel before the change takes effect and receive any refund due under Section 4.
