Dr Chris Davis
Dr Chris Davis
Chris Davis is a GP with a special interest in Drug & Alcohol services. He established the Clean Slate Clinic in Sydney to provide in-person primary care alcohol withdrawal and recovery services, after successfully implementing the model in the UK. Chris is a recognized expert in the field and is currently providing training to other GPs through the RACGP.

Pia Clinton-Tarestad
Pia Clinton-Tarestad is a health economist with over 20 years experience in service delivery, design and improvement in healthcare. She has successfully managed and commissioned a range of specialist services, including complex mental health services, as well as providing consulting advice in Australia and the UK. She was formerly the National Lead Partner for Healthcare at a Top Tier Consulting Firm.

Dr Aaron J Brown MBBS MRCS PGCME MRCGP is a father of two and an experienced GP of over 10 years. He’s passionate about delivering excellence in clinical care with an unyielding attention on finding the true person behind the symptoms. His previous roles as a GP Partner, Clinical Leader, and active contributor to local support groups allow him to combine experience and innovation to deliver the best possible care for people. Aaron understands first-hand that addiction and illnesses can impact an individual and their family and the difficulties that they can face. He’s passionate about reducing barriers to recovery and tackling the stigma faced by people struggling with addiction in every form. He’s committed to Clean Slate Clinic’s mission and is driven to create solutions that improve access to help, guarentee dignity and allow people to become their best and true selves.


Dr David McLaughlan
Dr David McLaughlan
Dr David McLaughlan (BMSc, MBChB, MRCPsych) is a consultant psychiatrist specialising in addictions. He practices in the independent sector as a (visiting) Consultant at Priory Hospital Roehampton, where he assesses and treats a range of substance-related and co-occurring mental health conditions. Additionally, David serves as Academic Secretary of The Royal College of Psychiatrists' Addiction Faculty. Alongside clinical work, David co-founded Curb Health, a digital health company developing evidence-based tools to help people change their relationship with alcohol; Curb’s Innovate UK-funded research has been presented at national forums and published by Cambridge University Press in BJPsych Open (2024).

Velvet Rousou-Adams is a Programme Development and Research Leader with over 20 years’ experience delivering strategy, innovation, and behavioural research for global brands, public institutions, and digital pioneers. She is known for translating complex insights into actionable strategy and leading high-impact international programmes. Outside of work, Velvet enjoys cold water swimming, hiking and boxing.

Colin Fearns
Colin Fearns
Colin Fearns qualified as a pharmacist in 2000. He worked across community and hospital sectors until 2005 when he joined the prison pharmacy sector. As a pharmacist working within a prison, he developed a special interest in mental health and drug/alcohol dependency. Furthering his knowledge and skill set, Colin Successfully completed his Non-Medical independent Prescriber course in 2009. Since then he has worked across community, inpatient and prison services in addiction. More recently Colin has followed his passion to train and qualify as an accredited transformational life coach where he combines his clinical and non-clinical skills to help people recognise and change the paradigm which they live.


Dr Georgina Mair
Dr Georgina Mair
Georgina graduated in 2017 and is currently training to become a GP with a special interest in Drug and Alcohol. Georgie has 2.5 years of experience working in addiction medicine, with a particular focus on opioid, alcohol and stimulant use disorders. She has experience managing both inpatient and ambulatory alcohol detoxes, as well as working in outpatient clinics for substance use disorders. Georgie is deeply passionate about addiction medicine and finds professional fulfilment in supporting patients through their recovery journeys and witnessing the meaningful changes they make in their lives. She takes a compassionate, patient-centred approach, drawing on her clinical experience to provide tailored, evidence-based care. Georgie is committed to helping individuals overcome substance use and believes that even small steps in recovery can lead to lasting, positive change for both patients and their wider communities.
